Grandpa and I talked on the phone often. Hearing the stories of our family, and learning more about the people who came before me from him was a gift that I am so grateful for. Over the last two weeks that he was with us, I got to cook dinner for him. These meals were way outside of his comfort zone, but he ate them anyways. He told me afterwards that while he didn't know what they were, He liked them very much. I love you Grandpa, to the moon and back.

We have numerous memories with Bill over these past twenty-plus years since he and Janice moved to Nephi, UT. Three recent prominent memories include one from these months after Janice passed to Heaven. Bill was amazed that the love he and Janice shared was obvious to those about them. "There was never any doubt that you loved each other." This was one of the comments which encouraged Bill after Janice passed away. Second, was his desire to pass on bits of wisdom to my son and his wife at their wedding. Bill put together a list of special thoughts for the newlyweds which shared he and Janice's marriage experiences. Third was just a few weeks ago. Bill was truly touched with the love and care of his son, Brad, and his family. Words cannot express the joy he had these past few weeks and the sacrificial care given to him. He expressed this to me on several occasions. Bill was greatly blessed with the love of many people in his life. We sang one of his favorite hymns at church the day after he went to Heaven - "Victory In Jesus"!! Bill has victory with his Savior today and for all eternity!! "For God so love the world that He gave His Only Begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have Everlasting Life."
