James Michael Green, 69, of Atchison KS died on Monday, Oct. 22, 2018 at his home.
Memorial services 2:00 pm Thursday, Nov. 1, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Robert Ziegler officiating. Visitation from 1:00 to 2:00 pm Thursday at the church. The body has been cremated; the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Trinity Lutheran Church or to help with final expenses and may be sent in care of the funeral home. James was born on Oct. 29, 1948 in Atchison KS the son of Charles A. and Clara L. (Walker) Green. He had worked as a janitor for Alps Grocery Store for over 20 years. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and enjoyed fishing.

James was married to Shirley J. Willmeth and later divorced. Survivors include a son, James Green, Atchison, KS, a brother, Bill Green, Effingham, KS, three grandchildren; Maisie, James III, and Sean Green, all of Atchison, and two great grandchildren, Justice, and Emma . A special friend and companion Virginia Coble, of the home. His parents, and five brothers, Gene, Ben, Charles, Adolph, and Andy Green preceded him in death.
