Obituary for Elizabeth Ann Kuhnert (Dame)
Elizabeth Ann Kuhnert, 86,Cummings, KS, formerly of Rushville, MO, passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at the Midland Care Hospice House, Topeka, KS surrounded by her loving family.
Memorial service will be 2:00 PM, Friday, August 30, 2019 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Atchison, KS, with Rev. Robert Ziegler officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Vernon Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church or Midland Hospice House and may be sent in care of the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home who is handling the arrangements. Elizabeth was born September 17, 1932, in Atchison the daughter of Joseph and Flora (Mitchell) Dame. She was a homemaker. Elizabeth was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Atchison, KS. She enjoyed bowling, flowers, gardening, spoiling her little dog Lily and especially being a farmer’s wife.
Elizabeth married Elmer Kuhnert on August 26, 1955 at Trinity Lutheran Church. He preceded her in death on August 27, 2010. Survivors include a son Jeff (Teri) Kuhnert, Rushville, MO,three daughters, Robyn (Greg) Wagner, Cummings, KS, Lisa (Ted) Hurst, Effingham, Beth (Terry) Hamilton, Effingham, KS, a sister Marjorie Stone, Atchison, KS, ten grandchildren, four great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two sons, Elmer Lee Kuhnert, Jr., Randy Kuhnert, five brothers, Gene, Henry, Bill, Sam, Raymond Dame, six sisters, Bernice Hanshaw, Doris Guess, Nancy Haugness, Jackie Hinton, Helen Dame, Norma Jean Dame.
