Dennis J. ‘DJ’ Bales, 37, of Weston, MO, passed away Monday, December 10, 2018 at his home in Weston.

Funeral Services will be 10:30 AM, Saturday, December 15, 2018 at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home, Atchison, KS. Burial will follow in the Doniphan (KS) Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 9:30 AM, Saturday, until the time of service at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Kansas Federation of Houndsmen – Youth Hunt and may be sent to the funeral home. DJ was born on September 21, 1981 in Atchison, the son of William D. and Monica Sue (Faught) Bales. DJ graduated from ACCHS in Effingham, KS. DJ worked in construction and owned his own fencing company, Premier Fencing Company in Muscotah. DJ enjoyed being outdoors and was an avid coon and deer hunter. He also enjoyed fishing, riding ATV’s, playing darts and watching Chiefs football. DJ especially loved spending time and cooking for his family at their family dinners.

DJ is survived by his father, Bill Bales of Muscotah; brother, Travis (Darcie) Bales of Soldier, KS; two nephews, Grant and Owen; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

DJ was preceded in death by his mother, Sue Bales in 2009.
